                         Was jesus a Buddhist?  The question is not whether Jesus was a Buddhist, but rather the extent to which he was influenced by buddhism. There are numerous textual amd archeological evidence suggesting that jesus had connection to buddhist teachings. Notabily numismatic evidence, allegedly  held by a british museum, support this claim, though it not publicly displayed.   The evidence follows two independent lines: The first is historical, and the second is textual. Historical evidence suggested that Jesus was well acquainted with Buddhism. If Jesus did not travel to India, it is plausible that indian influences reached Judea and impacted his teachings. Sarnath

SARNATH where the lord Buddha first taught about DHARMA and sangh came in existence.


 Sarnath is a place located 10 km north-east of varansi near confluence of ganga and varuna river in uttar Pradesh in india.the massive stupa located in sarnath is dhamek stupa 13 km away from varansi. Dhamek stupa is said to mark the spot where the Buddha gave the first sermon to his first five bhamins discipline after attaining enlightenment"revelling his eightfold path leading to NIRVANA.

In its current shape the stupa is a soild cylinder bricks and stones height about 43.6 meter and it diameter about 28 m.the wall is covered with curved figure of humans and birdsand inscription in brahmi script.


The dhamek stupa was built in 500 CE.to replace an earlier structure commissioned by the ashoka the great in 249 BCE.chinese buddhist monk Xuanzang visited sarnath in 640 BCE , he recorded the height of stupa to be about 91 and reported that about 1500 Buddhist monks are lived here.During the period of mughal and Turkish some part of sarnath was completely destroyed.
In 1836 the excavations done at this place and remains of ashoka period have been taken out.In 1905 the government of india started the restoration and rejuvenation of  this place.

It was founded during pala dynasty. Kesaria stupa: world's largest buddhist stupa.

 The Kesaria stupa : Built to honor Buddha's final days– Kesaria stupa According to some scholars, this is the place where prince Gautama cut his hair to renounce the world, after leaving his palace.
