                         Was jesus a Buddhist?  The question is not whether Jesus was a Buddhist, but rather the extent to which he was influenced by buddhism. There are numerous textual amd archeological evidence suggesting that jesus had connection to buddhist teachings. Notabily numismatic evidence, allegedly  held by a british museum, support this claim, though it not publicly displayed.   The evidence follows two independent lines: The first is historical, and the second is textual. Historical evidence suggested that Jesus was well acquainted with Buddhism. If Jesus did not travel to India, it is plausible that indian influences reached Judea and impacted his teachings. Buddha's relics  According to Buddhist tradition, buddha died at  Kusinara  (present-kusinagar,india) which became pilgrimage center.  Ananda protested the Buddha's decision to enter Parinirvana in the abandoned jungle of kusinara of malla  kingdom.  The Kesaria stupa : Built to honor Buddha's final days– Kesaria stupa According to some scholars, this is the place where prince Gautama cut his hair to renounce the world, after leaving his palace. Other scholars believe that actual place was nearer from kapilavastu.                          It is believed that the current structure was built somewhere between 200 AD and 750 AD to honor the location where buddha spent his begging bowl. The structure is a fine example of Buddhist architecture. In the time of Buddha, it was known as kessaputta. The bhamala Buddhist archelogy complexsite  close to khanpur dam at the head of haro valley. The stupa and the monastery date back to 2nd century. They are uniquely significant in gandhara civilization. The largest surviving example particular cross like stupa that resembles to the pyramids.
